We are a chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association, Inc. and represent alumni and friends of the University of Arkansas in the San Francisco Bay Area.  We are an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the University of Arkansas.  Our chapter was founded in 1991 and has earned a reputation as being one of the top alumni chapters in the country. Our Annual Martini Winery Event will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008. Our special guest speaker will be Mike Macechko, Arkansas Alumni Association Executive Director and Associate Vice Chancellor for University Advancement. Our chapter board is pleased  to announce that Jordan Sousa of Bakersfield will be our newest scholarship recipient. Jordan will be entering the Fulbright College in the fall of 2008.

We continue to bring University of Arkansas alumni and friends together by hosting a series of events throughout the year including game watch gatherings.  Our chapter also supports scholarship programs and promotes the University in many ways.

Our chapter's own Thomas K. Butt, FAIA, is the Arkansas Alumni Association 2005 Community Service Award. The award recognizes unselfish and extensive service by alumni to their community and to humankind. Congratulations Tom!
